      I'm green Polyethylene is a plastic produced from sugarcane, a renewable raw material, while the traditional polyethylene uses fossil sourced raw materials such as oil or natural gas. For this reason I'm greenTM Polyethylene captures and fixes CO2 from the atmosphere during its production, helping to reduce greenhouse gases emission.



      I'm greenTM Polyethylene retains the same properties, performance and application versatility of polyethylene from fossil origin - which facilitates immediate use in the plastics production chain. For the same reason, it also can be recycled within the same chain of recycling traditional polyethylene.



      There are currently available in the product portfolio the following families of I'm greenTM Polyethylene: high density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) covering rigid packaging applications, flexible, caps and closures, bags, among other . Starting in January 2014, the low density polyehtylene (LDPE) family is also part of the product portfolio, covering additional applications of packaging and films.

      Recyclable - I'm greenTM Polyethylene is recyclable in the same chain used for recycling traditional polyethylene from fossil source. I'm greenTM Polyethylene is not biodegradable, so the CO2 captured by the product remains fixed throughout the life cycle of the plastic.
